At Kiddie Garden Childcare and Preschool Parramatta, we know children are born ready to learn, and the experiences of their first five years last a lifetime. Our vision is for Australia’s children to have the best possible start in life.
Here at Kiddie Garden Day Care & Preschool in Parramatta the children are central to everything we do. We view children as unique individuals and capable learners. We understand that children are learning who they are, where they belong and who they will become. We support this by trusting children to make their own decisions regarding their learning and individual lifestyle choices through play and routines.
We believe that families are and always will be a child’s first teacher. We also believe that every family is different with their own set of beliefs and values. We strive to keep continuity of care between home and our centre. We are constantly working towards building strong partnerships through open communication and providing support to raise their family in a happy and healthier environment. We are actively working towards building a strong identity in the community through our involvement in events and understanding our role. Our current focus is increasing our presence both as individuals and as a centre as we feel the community gives us a sense of belonging.
We value early childhood professionals as they are the child’s second teacher who plays a crucial role in shaping children’s lives. We ensure our team is highly trained and dedicated to our curriculum. We draw on our previous experiences and current knowledge to form the basis of our curriculum. Educators are exploring ideas on a variety of theories. We combine this with our implementation of the Early Years Learning Framework, as well as family and community input.
We value the role that the environment plays in children’s learning. Educators view the environment as the child’s third teacher. We are currently focusing on developing an environmental strategy for the centre to promote environmental sustainability; this will be embedded into our everyday practices.
Kiddies Garden is unique because of the passion and dedication of the educators and the constant desire to improve our practices in a way that exceeds National Standards.
